JR Paine & Associates Ltd. is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta (established in 1969).  The company maintains a fully-staffed branch office in Peace River (est. 1988).

Each of the JR Paine offices include a fully-equipped laboratory with the capabilities of providing civil engineering related testing of soils, concrete, asphaltic concrete materials, foamed asphalt, bitumen oils, and aggregates along with specialized research and development.

In addition, JR Paine has ten mobile laboratory-equipped trailers for use on projects in isolated or remote locations and large construction sites.
