Corporate History
At J.R. Paine & Associates Ltd., our 50 year heritage began with our founder John Richard (Dick) Paine, a graduate of the Civil Engineering program at the University of Saskatchewan. Over the last half century, under visionary leadership at JR Paine, our client’s benefit from our team’s expertise, innovation, and extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements. Since its inception, JR Paine has operated with offices in Edmonton and Grande Prairie. In 1988, the company opened an office in Peace River. J.R. Paine opened and maintained an office in Whitehorse, Yukon from 1978 to 2010. Hoggan Engineering & Testing (1980) Ltd. was acquired in 1987 and operates as a sister company.
Locations
JR Paine & Associates Ltd. is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta (established in 1969). The company maintains fully-staffed branch offices in Grande Prairie (est. 1969) and Peace River (est. 1988).
Each of the JR Paine offices include a fully-equipped laboratory with the capabilities of providing civil engineering related testing of soils, concrete, asphaltic concrete materials, foamed asphalt, bitumen oils, and aggregates along with specialized research and development.
In addition, JR Paine has ten mobile laboratory-equipped trailers for use on projects in isolated or remote locations and large construction sites.
